Published research
17 peer-reviewed papers, 1997 to 2013, on guided implant surgery, digital workflows and full-arch rehabilitation.
Why a dentist publishes
Evidence-based dentistry means combining the clinical evidence with the dentist's own experience and what the patient actually needs. Publishing is how the first of those gets built, and it is slow: it can take years to run a study and get it into print.
Dr. Lal's research is concentrated in one area, which is the area this practice is built on: planning implants in software against the finished teeth, placing them through a guide, and rebuilding a full arch predictably.
He is first author on the two-part 2006 Journal of Prosthodontics papers setting out the use of stereolithographic templates for implant placement, which is the technique the practice still uses today.

If you are considering implant treatment and want it planned by someone whose work on guided placement is in the literature, that is what a consultation is for.
